Diversity Interview Training and Job Candidate Fit

In our diversity interviewer training, we mention a current trend whereby diverse candidates are less willing to be "acculturated" to mainstream standards.

This is actually a worldwide phenomenon as seen in the push for ethnic distinctions across the Soviet Commonwealth and in other regional clashes as well.

The current ethnic conflicts afflicting Yugoslavia today are being played out in the neighborhoods of Chicago. The Denver Post cites incidents of ethnic strife among Serbian-owned businesses that rely on Croation customers. The Croations have shunned the Serbians, although both groups originally believed themselves "too American" to be caught up in the feuding that dominated earlier generations.
